Our courses are designed for new and aspiring school leaders. However, anyone with an interest in international education is welcome to take our courses.

No, you do not need to be an AAIE member to take Institute courses.

Yes. Each course addresses a different aspect of international school leadership. You can focus on only a few key areas of development, customizing your course selections to meet your professional needs or interests.

After submitting the completed form, you will be contacted by a member of our team to arrange payment and to find out more about accessing your cours(es). Each AAIE Institute course costs $725 (non-graduate credit). If you would like to receive graduate credit from Wilkes University, the cost per credit is $538 or $1,614 for a three-credit graduate course. Each institute course is three credits. Should you choose to initially enroll at the $725 rate and decide to pursue graduate credit at a later date, you will be asked to pay the difference in cost. Note that additional courses are required for the master’s and doctoral programs offered in partnership with Wilkes University. Pricing is based on current tuition rates. Each online course in the program is offered through the Learning Management System (LMS) Canvas, which incorporates an easy-to-use interface, simple navigation, and allows for consistent interaction between you and your instructor. Coursework is completed asynchronously (at your own pace) within 45 calendar days in a 1:1 (one instructor/one participant) environment. Assignments are submitted at the end of each module, are scored against a rubric, and are returned to you with customized feedback designed to improve your professional practice. Your instructor is available to you for any questions or concerns throughout your course experience.

Yes. You will receive a certificate upon completion of each course. If you complete all seven AAIE Institute courses you will be recognized as an AAIE fellow. AAIE Institute courses can be applied towards a master’s or doctoral degree at Wilkes University.

Upon request, virtual, synchronous face-to-face interactions may take place over Skype, through the conferencing tool in Canvas, or via another selected conferencing tool. In the event you request a face-to-face interaction, the instructor will reach out to you to establish a date and time that works best, taking into consideration work schedules, external commitments, and time zones.

Yes. To apply for the Master’s of Science Degree, complete an application with Wilkes University.

No. We have a rolling admissions policy that allows you to join the program and start with any course. You may take up to two AAIE courses at a time. However, if you choose to take a course with a cohort, each cohort has a specific start and end date.
