Abby Majendie, MA, M.Ed.
AAIE Institute Instructor
Abby Majendie is currently the Director of Advancement at Quest University Canada, Adjunct Professor for the International Graduate Program for Educators at the State University of New York (SUNY), and a Senior Education Consultant. She holds a Master of Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of British Columbia and a Master of European Politics and History from the University of London.
Ms. Majendie has over 25 years of experience working in independent K-12 international schools around the globe including Poland, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Trinidad and Tobago. During her tenure, she has held a variety of leadership positions including International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Coordinator, High School Principal, Head of School, Director and Provisional Superintendent.
Ms. Majendie lives in Squamish, British Columbia, the “Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada.” where she enjoys exploring the expansive trail systems in Squamish and Whistler, walking and hiking in the Great Outdoors. She also serves as a Board Director for the local Chamber of Commerce and volunteers for the Squamish Hospice Society.
When asked what she enjoys most about international school leadership, Ms. Majendie responded, “I love living in different countries, deepening my understanding of different cultures, and connecting with people from all over the world. I am passionate about deeper learning, sustainable leadership, and environmental stewardship.”
