Abby Majendie, MA, M.Ed.

AAIE Institute Instructor

Abby Majendie brings over 25 years of educational leadership experience in independent international schools and higher education. She holds a Master’s degree in European Politics and History from the University of London and a Master’s in Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of British Columbia.

Throughout her global career, Abby has served in a range of leadership roles—including International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Coordinator, High School Principal, Head of School, Director, and Provisional Superintendent—at schools across Poland, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Canada.

Since relocating to Canada in 2016, Abby has continued to advance the field of education as a Senior Education Consultant, Director of Advancement at Quest University Canada, Adjunct Professor in the International Graduate Program for Educators at the State University of New York (SUNY), and proudly, as an AAIE Institute instructor. She has also held governance roles on multiple corporate boards, serving as President, Vice President, Governance Director, and Chair of the Governance and Board Development Committee.

Abby lives in Squamish, British Columbia—the “Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada”—with her son Haydyn and their Black Labrador, Sadie. She enjoys exploring the extensive trail systems in Squamish and Whistler, hiking, reading fiction, and traveling. She is passionate about deeper learning, sustainable leadership, environmental stewardship, and building cross-cultural connections through international education.
